As the Director of Student Development, Jenny is responsible for guiding families and students through the academic planning and enrollment process at Fusion Academy.
Jenny has a History of Art degree from UC Berkeley and has studied abroad in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Hawaii.
Prior to Fusion, Jenny was a middle and high school mentor and tutor with a focus on academic planning for post-secondary education for underserved youth in the Richmond, California school district, and the former Founder and CEO of two socially responsible fashion companies, Retrofit Republic and Acmist, where art and activism merged. Both companies’ ethos advocated for and empowered marginalized communities including at-risk youth of color. Jenny is also a business, non-profit, marketing, and fashion consultant, event designer, and art curator. She currently serves as a Board Member of the following nonprofits that support and empower youth: Kearny Street Workshop, Sol Sisters, and Compassion is Fashion, where she continues to be a passionate youth advocate and mentor.
Jenny can be found biking to and from community meetings and events for causes most dear to her, eating at her favorite pho restaurant while reading a good book, and looking for a good bargain at thrift and vintage stores. If you ask her about the pros of being a twin, she will happily tell you that it is rewarding to be the much funnier and smarter twin.
