Hello! Hola! 你們好 (Nimen hao)!
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Jennifer is a world language and culture fanatic! Whether it is consistently working on her love of discovering new methods of teaching Espanol to her students or attempting to continue her studies of Mandarin Chinese, she has a strong passion for second language acquisition.
Shortly after obtaining her BA in Spanish from Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, she wanted to take her studies abroad with the intent of becoming multilingual. It was in Shenzhen, China where she taught Conversational English to high school students and became a student as well, immersing herself in the language and culture. While she never spoke nor learned Chinese prior to living in China, it was her exposure of learning Spanish in middle school that led her to explore her love of world languages and culture today.
When she is not brushing up on her languages, she loves to experiment with different flavors in the kitchen, travel and of course catch her Washington Nationals and Caps either live or on TV.
