Jeff Sidman is a cross-curricular teacher/mentor at Fusion Academy, bringing his years of experience teaching diverse subjects to both the middle school and high school. He teaches a variety of classes in the humanities and sciences. Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from Humboldt State University, which is a multi-disciplinary secular degree that includes aspects of history, philosophy, cultural anthropology, psychology and sociology. He has taught in almost every environment, from marine biology under the sea, to astronomy on snowy mountaintops, to lecture halls with over four hundred people in attendance. Jeff worked as a supervising instructor for Orange County School District’s Outdoor Science School before leaving to become a classroom teacher for eleven years. He has spent the last three years as a full-time private tutor, working with several home-schooled students. He also works as an actor, and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild, as well as on the Board of Directors of the Woodland Hills Community Theater.
Hobbies: Reading, writing essays, short stories, screenplays, acting, taking nature walks, admiring art, playing with my nephews, and drinking coffee.
