As the Head of School at Fusion Walnut Creek, Jeff’s primary role is to inspire the team in their exciting journey through student engagement, academic achievement, and lifelong fulfillment. His greatest passion is to help students discover their unique, deep-seated love of learning.
Jeff earned his undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University with a double major in special education and social studies. He then earned his masters of educational administration degree from Cal State University, San Marcos, where he graduated magna cum laud. Right out of college, Jeff gained the opportunity to teach on Maui, Hawaii at a little school in the middle of the cane fields. After meeting his wife on the islands, he moved to San Diego and joined the team at the Winston School in Del Mar. There, he was a dedicated teacher and administrator for over fifteen years. During his tenure, he shaped and refined an innovative curriculum filled with engrossing, child-centered learning opportunities. He spent the past two years as Director of Education and Head of School while working with underprivileged youth at a school in Vista, California.
In his free time, Jeff enjoys surfing, baseball, hiking, photography, reading, and exploring the natural beauty of the world with his lovely wife and children. A little known fact about him is his collection of irrelevant artifacts and useless rocks from around the world. Sometimes late at night you may find Jeff engaged in his passion for writing. Most recently he completed and published a well-received book on the developing philosophy of education entitled The Mindset Revolution.
