Jackie Avila

Director of Admissions and Outreach

Jackie has called Seattle home for two years now, but is a California girl at heart. Originally from the Bay Area, Jackie was determined to set out and begin a new adventure on her own. She discovered Fusion through a former colleague and instantly gravitated towards the EPIC! values and 1:1 model that Fusion upholds. After visiting a Fusion campus in person, Jackie knew that this was the community she needed to be a part of, and the future of education.

From an early age Jackie knew that she wanted to work with children to be a driving force in making a positive difference in their lives. While studying to obtain her undergraduate degree, Jackie began working with special needs children; particularly those on the Autism Spectrum. It was love at first behavior modification, and the rest was history. Becoming established in the field, Jackie has worn many different hats with children. Starting out as a respite provider, she quickly moved into roles of ABA interventionist, yoga instructor, counselor, among a few others. It warms Jackie’s heart knowing that she has contributed to many children’s success stories and brought a light to families when they needed it most. Embarking on a new journey in helping children find their way, Jackie is over the moon to be joining the Fusion family, and bring all that Fusion has to offer to the Pacific Northwest!

When not working, you can find Jackie discovering new mountain ranges to hike, rock climbing, or swinging on her hammock by the lake.
