Spanish Teacher

Jack teaches Spanish lessons to students and helps them with their homework in Woodbury’s Homework Café.

After high school, Jack attended Suffolk County Community College at their Selden, NY campus. He pursued an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts while also working in the kitchen of a local restaurant. While working alongside Mexican, Dominican, and Ecuadorian coworkers in this restaurant, his interest in learning Spanish was sparked. He realized that paying attention well in his Spanish classes would help him in his work environment.

Jack transferred to SUNY College at Old Westbury in 2014 and chose Spanish Language/Hispanic Literature and Culture as his major .

In January of 2017 he traveled to Nicaragua with former classmates and a professor to participate in a poetry symposium.

In his spare time, Jack enjoys going to live music events. He especially likes attending rock concerts in Long island and NYC. He has even traveled to cities such as Baltimore and Philadelphia for certain events.
