“Ian Cook is a Math and Science educator at Fusion. He discovered his passion for math while pursuing a B.S. in Chemistry at UT Dallas. He promptly changed his major. After a year of specializing in non-linear analysis at the university level, he began working as a peer tutor at the UTD Math Lab. Here he found that he loved showing others the beauty he had found in math. Especially satisfying was overcoming the view of math as a rote process-execution to see it as creative problem solving. This passion deepened as Ian went on to manage the Math Lab and get his Master’s degree.
When not teaching, Ian enjoys rock climbing, cooking, working on the backlog on his bookshelf, adding to that backlog, yelling at the radio, and finding unexpected things on Netflix.”
