Harrison was born and raised in Southern Maryland, and first fell in love with learning after discovering internet encyclopedias. His favorite classes in high school were U.S. and European history. He earned his Bachelor’s in Political Science and International Studies from Towson University, and his Master’s in Economics from George Mason University. After originally working in economic research, Harrison decided to instead work farther down along the conveyor belt of ideas and teach young students.
Harrison’s passion is intelligibly communicating the concepts that excite him. Through his earlier work as a cognitive trainer, he became a strong believer in the ability of one-on-one instruction to develop the skills of and bring out the best in students. His hobbies include watching football (Go Broncos!), playing World of Warcraft, and debating friends over any possible topic.
