Filippa teaches Italian and Latin. She grew up in Catania, Sicily, and emigrated to the U. S. at 16. She earned her BA in Social Sciences from Thomas Edison State College here in NJ. She has worked for an Italian bank and the Italian National Railroad. After marrying and raising 5 children, her desire was to become a teacher of her native Italian language, as well as its origin language, Latin. She has taught Italian and/or Latin at two private schools in Burlington and Holmdel, NJ, originally creating those programs at one. She enjoys the Jersey Shore and likes to spend as much time there as possible.
