Esther Simental

ASL and Spanish Teacher

Esther was born and raised in Justin, Texas and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Texas Woman’s University. She also has her graduate degree from University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to her joining the Fusion team, she was a Deaf Ed. interpreter and co-teacher for the Deaf at Denton ISD. Esther has always worked with children and adolescents in the educational system and loves to see her students flourish. Working briefly in the social work field, Esther’s belief is that through a community of support and empowerment, students are able to achieve in school and life. With this experience, Esther is happy to find this at Fusion. She also aspires to work for the Deaf as she works toward her certification as a Deaf Interpreter and hopes that one day she will be able to provide services to the Deaf and Hard of hearing community. Esther enjoys teaching students ASL but most importantly Deaf culture. When Esther is not working, you’ll likely find her at home watching movies with her fiancé and their black lab, Max. Esther also enjoys hanging out with friends, shopping, going on walks, traveling, and eating dessert and trying new foods. Esther is getting married in December and although she enjoys planning her wedding, she cannot wait to get “wifed up”!
