Erin was born in Los Angeles, California, but grew up just outside of Chicago, Illinois. She has been drawing and painting from a very young age. Erin often struggled with reading and math, but found refuge in the art department at her high school. She would have flourished at a program like Fusion Academy. After completing her Bachelor’s in Photography and Art Education from Colorado State University, Erin has been a visual arts teacher since 2008. She enjoys igniting interests in students everyday!
When she’s not working with youth on art projects, she can be found reading, running in the park, cooking, listening to records, traveling, snowboarding, or working on her own illustration projects. She dreams of publishing a children’s book series.
“Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.”
– Langston Hughes
