Erika Cacsire was born and raised in Westchester, New York. After attending Boston College where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Communications, Erika did sports marketing for The Sporting News. Deciding that psychology was her passion, she moved back to New York to attend Fordham University’s graduate program in Education where she received a duel degree in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. She then went on to work as a therapist at the Karen Horney Psychoanalytic Institute and Clinic working with late adolescents and adults with anxiety, receiving her psychoanalytic training. It wasn’t until she had to navigate through the special education system for her son when she was asked to become a parent advocate helping other parents attain the same success in services. This network expanded into a local College Counseling private practice that then lead Erika to Fusion Academy. Erika has been known to say that she feels Fusion combines all of her work experiences and belief systems into one role. She loves being able to work in depth helping high school students with their post high school plans. Erika currently resides in Westchester, New York with her two children.
