Emma Miller

English & History Teacher/Mentor

Emma graduated from Brown University with a BA in History.  She studied the relationship between gender and the modern American state.  Emma spent a year researching the integration of the first women firefighters into the FDNY, looking at the impact of 1970s feminism on 1980s work culture.  She’s also passionate about the World Wars and the High Middle Ages.   Emma performs sketch comedy and long-form improvisation.  She wishes she knew more about the moon and surprises herself with a growing interest in astrology.  Though she has a cat, she sees herself as a dog person.
