Elizabeth is an artist and art educator who believes in the importance and the ability of art to enhance one’s creativity and sense of self-expression.
Elizabeth has a background both in fine arts and graphic design. She has worked in a variety of art media including drawing, painting, video, digital art and sculpture. Elizabeth completed her undergraduate work at The School of Visual Arts and received her BFA in Fine Arts in 2008. In 2012 she earned an M.F.A in Studio Arts with a focus in sculpture from Pratt Institute. After graduating, Elizabeth worked as a layout designer for At the Edge Magazine. She has designed props for the stage, exhibited in art galleries and also worked as a balloon twister.
Her teaching experience includes working with children in grades K-8 in schools and summer camp programs. Elizabeth has created and taught engaging art based curriculum offering her students exposure and the opportunity to explore a wide range of art. Some of these classes include creation of comic books, ceramics, life drawing, kinetic sculpture, and Street art. She encourages all her students to help them to find their own inner artist.
When she is not teaching or creating art she enjoys reading, especially fantasy and science fiction, and listening to music. She and her husband reside happily in Brooklyn.
