Demetrius Seger is an Art Teacher at Fusion Academy in Alexandria, Virginia. He has years of experience as an Animation Artist specializing in multimedia, animation, drawing, and painting. Demetrius was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and grew up in Salt Lake City Utah. His love for art developed at an early age and continued in high school through the substantial influence of his art teachers in Utah. Demetrius has obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Media Arts and Animation from The Art Institute of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. Not long after graduating, he began collaborating with John K. (animator/producer) and contributed to coloring, creating, and making images unique by finalizing a rotoscope animation for an indie movie called, “The Toll Taker.” He has experience collaborating and producing animations with multiple teams of animators and has worked with multiple companies on their logo designs. On his free time, Demetrius is a competitive board game player, loves to paints portraits of his two dogs, and has a healthy sense of humor which makes him great to get along with.
Demetrius media designs extend creatively involving forming masks for a fashion show, advocating for other artists, assisting with web design, and designing t-shirts for racers who ran the Walt Disney World Marathon. He loves teaching art and influencing children and adults with basic media arts such as: design and illustration, stop motion, and fundamentals of character design. His favorite form of art includes 2D with pencils, pens, acrylics, pastels, and polymer clay. Demetrius is currently working on a series of children’s books and creating emojis for an application called “Line.”
