Deborah “Debbie” Brancho shares her love of science and learning by teaching and mentoring students at Fusion Academy Rockville. Debbie received a B.A. with Honors in Chemistry and Biology from Juniata College. She went on to earn a Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Debbie continued her biomedical research and student mentoring in New York. She also taught chemistry and biotechnology in high school for two years before moving to Maryland. In Maryland, she spends her time volunteering at elementary and middle schools.
Outside the classroom, Debbie reads science fiction, travels, and enjoys spending time with her family. She has visited all 50 US States and many foreign countries.
