Daniela Jernigan teaches personal fitness, yoga, and life skills to students. She graduated with magna cum laude honors with a BS in Biology and minor in Philosophy from Delaware State University, an MS in Medical Sciences from Indiana University College of Medicine, and is completing an MA in Publishing and Art History from Drexel University. Daniela is a Yoga Alliance experienced registered yoga teacher and Certified Life Coach.
She volunteers for Philly Girls in Motion teaching yoga to girls in the Philadelphia school system and an organization called Love Heals, that provides health seminars and counseling to underserved communities in Ghana and Kenya, Africa. She does an annual cultural tour in Port-au-Prince Haiti where she spends time teaching creative writing workshops to adults and yoga to orphaned children. Professionally, she teaches yoga for Temple University School of Public Health and combines her love of art and yoga by conducting family yoga workshops in cool art spaces like the African American Museum in Philadelphia and the Grounds for Sculpture in Trenton, NJ. An entrepreneur at heart she owns two companies Jade Vine Yoga, a boutique company that specializes in community programming, yoga teacher training and professional development and Daniela Lee Private Yoga & Coaching that provides one to one yoga lessons for clients in the Mainline and Greater Philadelphia area.
Daniela enjoys reading, theater, art history, music, traveling, summers, and practicing yoga outside. When she is not spending time with her Yorkshire Terrier Sir Kai Willow, son, and life partner, Daniela enjoys reading detective stories, theater, art galleries, music, traveling, beaches, and practicing yoga outside. She loves long epic movies so it’s not uncommon to find her binging on the Lord of the Rings or Star Wars series!
