Dana-Susan (Dana-Sue or DS) taught junior high school Spanish, English and English as a Second Language in the Dallas area as well as Conroe ISD. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Sam Houston State University and in addition to teaching, she is a freelance writer and children’s book author.
She also works in fundraising for MD Anderson Cancer Center and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and is an advocate for children and adults with blood cancers.
For fun, she runs marathons and competes in triathlons. Her two favorite races are the Boston Marathon and Iron man Arizona, but she loves coaching even more than racing. Along with her husband, she coaches swimming, triathlon and distance running.
She is married and has two kids, a daughter in college and a son who is a junior at The Woodlands High School.
