Cordegus, a Dallas, Texas native, has always known he was meant to be an educator. After graduating from high school, Cordegus transitioned to Jackson, Tennessee for college where he matriculated at Lane College. While there, Cordegus was deeply rooted in both campus and community affairs. He was a diligent volunteer with Upward Bound and participated in student government.
Upon earning his Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Education in 2002, Cordegus relocated to Houston, Texas where he became a Special Education Science Teacher. Having served several successful years in the classroom, Cordegus was promoted to a Consultant/Trainer/Behavior Interventionist. Cordegus facilitated staff development trainings, modeled lessons on how to incorporate teaching practices, assisted in staff development, out-of-class interventions, and collect and interpret implementation data.
Among his other philanthropic pursuits, Cordegus also volunteers as a Special Olympics Coach. He considers it a pleasure to assist in promoting good sportsmanship and fair competition at all events, organizing and conducting the sports training program, and teaching athletes the rules of the sport.
Cordegus loves life and enjoys traveling on his free time. His recent excursions include: Europe- London/Paris, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Turks and Caicos. He also enjoys exercising, running, yoga, and spending time with loved ones.
As a new Fusionite, Cordegus is eager to offer what he has learned in his 13 years in education and community involvement. His greatest desire is to see students successful and make an impactive change in their lives. He will be teaching Science at Fusion Houston Galleria location.
