Christopher Spangler is a lifelong learner and enjoys sharing his passion for history as a teacher at Fusion Academy. He completed his degree with honors at Rutgers University where he studied history and minored in anthropology. During his undergraduate study, Christopher participated in the New Jersey Leaders of Tomorrow Presidential Internship Program while being selected for induction to Phi Alpha Theta, an honor society for academic achievement in history. After graduating from college, he worked as an advisor in the New Jersey Legislature for three years before accepting an 8th grade social studies teaching position. In this role he designed and implemented lessons on early American history, as well as a unit on the Rwandan Genocide. Following his year in the classroom, he joined the Peace Corps and moved to Tanzania where, along with teaching, he worked on community development projects.
In his free time, Christopher enjoys kayaking and traveling to new places. In 2015, he completed the Kilimanjaro Half Marathon.
