Christina earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Upon graduation, she was an Early Childhood teacher before she pursued medical school. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of the East. She then pursued her interests in clinical cancer research in Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She decided to take a break from her career in cancer research to spend more time with her growing children and family. During this time, she had an opportunity to get back into teaching at her children’s school and so began the inspirational journey back to education!
She prides herself in being a life-long learner and student in life. Christina values her faith and enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She also enjoys listening to music, dancing, the outdoors, the beach, volunteering and especially taking pictures of her kids!
