Chayma Gomez has been teaching since 2008, but has worked with children since 2005. Apart from working in the traditional school setting as an English Teacher for grade 9-12, Chayma has worked with children with various exceptionalities in the homeschool setting. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education with an Endorsement in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) from Nova South Eastern University, and is certified to teach students from K-12th. Chayma also possess a Master Degree in Business Administration from Florida International University which she used to support and develop the first Business & Construction Management themed Charter school in South Florida. Chayma has had the opportunity to present at the Advance Placement Conference, presenting solutions for creating a college-bound culture for first generation graduates and teaching other educators creative uses of technology within the classroom to bridge the language gap for Latino students.
Chayma is a passionate and driven educator. She is motivated by her love for learning and strives to instill that same love and desire for learning in her students. She loves the arts and enjoys the theatre, museums, and music concerts. During the day, however, she loves to live at the beach or go on hiking trails. She feels that spending time in nature is good for the soul. Chayma is thrilled to be part of the Fusion Team and is excited about working with children in this one-to-one setting!
