Catalina is joining the Fusion family as the Spanish Teacher. She is from Bogota, Colombia. In Colombia she studied Science of Education in La Universidad de la Salle. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Teaching Spanish, French and English as a second Language. Her love for teaching started when she was 16; working with her dad, a P.E teacher, in summer camps in Bogota. Catalina has taught ESL to K-12 students, and adults in Colombia. She moved to USA in 2013, since then she has been teaching Spanish to Elementary, Middle and High School students in Palm Beach County. Catalina is highly passionate about engaging students in the Spanish language, as well as sharing her Latin American heritage. Catalina will deepen her education with a Master’s degree in the near future.
In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, playing Volleyball, creating book clubs, reading, volunteering, and traveling to Colombia and Canada to visit her family.
