Cat Stiny is a passionate artist who strives to inspire her students and bring them into the world of both historical and contemporary art. She prepares each of her students for the world outside academia by teaching them to ask questions, think critically, and navigate the often quirky world of art with an open mind and vast curiosity.
Cat earned her MAT at Tufts University and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has applied her love and knowledge of the arts in a variety of settings including working for several schools and non-profit arts programs as an art intern, counselor, and teacher.
Outside of the classroom, Cat spends her time working as a freelance illustration artist and enjoys traveling and visiting beautiful locations across the country to gain inspiration for her artwork. She also enjoys other activities such as watching horror and sci/fi films, visiting historical landmarks and museums, and baking cakes and pies.
