Carlos Velasquez was born in Palmira, Colombia. The youngest of four siblings, he grew up in Colombia and at the age of eighteen he moved to United States. He has been living between two cultures and languages. His lifelong fascination with Music and Spanish has led him to travel in many Spanish-speaking countries. Carlos graduated from Concordia University where he received his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership (M. Ed.), he also attended University of Bridgeport where he obtained a major in Music Education (emphasis in Jazz studies).
In addition, Carlos has taught a wide variety of Spanish language courses around Westchester and Fairfield County for private and public schools. He is skilled instructor and has been teaching young students for over eight years. Carlos enjoys teaching every level student from someone just beginning to learn Spanish to others who are more fluent in the language. Besides teaching, Carlos loves to play guitar, hanging out and travel extensively throughout all of Latin America with his wife Yohanna, and their two sons (Carlos Andres jr. and Camilo Andres).
