Bill Glynn is the Department Head Lead and History Department Head. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Union College in Schenectady, NY, where he was member of the Union College Jazz Ensemble, Club Ice Hockey team, Ultimate Frisbee team, and Sigma Chi Fraternity. He earned a master’s degree in Teaching Social Studies from Union Graduate College, and holds New York and Connecticut teacher certification in 7-12 Social Studies.
Bill has been a member of the Fusion Westchester team since the campus opened in 2013. Prior to joining Fusion, Bill worked as a teaching assistant and classroom teacher at Rye High School for three years, where he taught Global History, AP Psychology, Participation in Government, English, and Mathematics. In 2006, Bill volunteered at a primary school in Jamaica, where he taught second-grade English and Mathematics. Outside the classroom, Bill is a USA Hockey certified Ice Hockey official and a member of the Westchester Ice Hockey Officials Association. As a musician, Bill has performed at many New York City venues including the Bitter End, Sullivan Hall, Arlene’s Grocery, the Highline Ballroom, and CBGB. Bill also enjoys softball, golf, and skateboarding, and also once completed a New York Times Crossword puzzle in under nine minutes.
