Baker Overstreet is new to fusion as of last year. He teaches studio art, specializing in painting, drawing and sculpture. His goal at fusion is to give students an outlet to express themselves creatively, helping them to discover avenues and mediums that suit their personal strategies and methods with a focus on art history as well as the contemporary art world.
Overstreet earned his BFA in painting from the Maryland Institute of Art and his masters in painting from Yale university. He has taught at the high school and undergraduate level since his move to New York in 2006. He has exhibited both in the states and internationally. When not focusing on teaching and his own painting practice, he freelances as a scenic painter and prop sculptor for both theater and film.
