Aoma Caldwell teaches Japanese, English, and History at Fusion Academy. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences with majors in East Asian Studies and history at Oberlin College, and her Bachelor of Music in cello performance at the Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio. During college, she spent a semester abroad in Kyoto, Japan, where she studied the koto, religion in Japan, and Japanese linguistics, and another semester at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. To keep her skills sharp, she listens to Japanese TV and continues to discover more kanji.
When she is not at Fusion, Aoma continues to teach cello lessons, also working on cello concertos and learning to improvise.
