Anne Oman was born in Washington D.C., and grew up Alexandria Va, and in a historic haunted farmhouse in Fort Washington, MD. She attended Maret High School, and received a B.A. from Swarthmore College and a PhD from The University of California at Berkeley, specializing in Modern American and British literature and Nabokov. She lived in San Francisco for five years and has been scheming to get back there ever since. Anne’s ambition is to travel around the country in a vintage airstream interviewing various people about their lives and writing stories.
Anne has been teaching English at Fusion since September 2016 and is also a substitute art teacher for the Maret School; she has taken seven art classes at the Corcoran. She enjoys reading, dancing, road trips, speaking basic French, skiing and exploring new towns. She also enjoys spending time with her family of three children, a British husband and a black Labrador retriever.
