Andrew Schweighardt teaches the visual arts at Fusion Academy of Montclair. There, he encourages all students to explore the incredibly rich history and eclectic practices of the art world.
In 2010, he earned his BFA at Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
While in his junior and senior year, Andrew interned for the Student Life Marketing Department where he was responsible for composing select spreads of the Daily Targum; the official student newspaper of Rutgers University. Prior to being hired by Fusion Academy, Andrew had been a Permanent Part-Time Substitute Art Teacher at his high school alma mater. He also has four years experience as a New Jersey Youth Soccer Coach & Trainer; working with both recreational and competitive travel leagues, K through 12.
In his free time, Andrew enjoys noodling blues licks on his Gretsch Streamliner G2420T hollow body guitar. He’s no Stevie Ray Vaughan — that’s for sure.
