Anastasiya joined Fusion Marin’s math and science department with a background in biophysics and medical physics, catalyzed by a long-standing interest in science education.
Originally from Moscow, Russia, she moved to the USA in high school, originally settling in Rochester, MN. After finishing her undergraduate studies in biophysics in Cambridge, MA, she worked as a research assistant on clinical imaging in Durham, NC. After graduate school, she taught for 2 years at a magnet charter school in Phoenix, AZ before moving to California.
In her free time, Anastasiya enjoys exploring the natural and architectural beauty of the Bay Area, seeing live performances, and sampling different cuisines.
