Amee Hall

Amee is joining the fusion team from Ontario Canada where she finished her PhD in Anatomy and Cell Biology. She is originally from Dallas where she completed her undergraduate studies. She is passionate about education and is excited to join the fusion team and share her love for science.

Amee’s primary interest has been Neuroscience. As a Girl Scout she completed a badge which required her to research future careers. At 10 years old, after completing her extensive research, she announced to her family that she was going to be a pediatric neurosurgeon. She entered her undergraduate career still following this path when she volunteered in a lab at the University of Texas at Dallas. She was enamored with research and altered her career path leading to her PhD rather than medical school. It was during her graduate degree at the University of Western Ontario that she discovered her love for teaching.

Wacky facts about Amee include: She has played the flute since she was 12 years old. In high school she was in national competitions for shot-put and enjoyed performing in plays. To support herself through her undergraduate studies she worked as a 9-1-1 dispatcher. In her spare time, Amee loves TV and movies, especially science fiction and fantasy or doing activities with her son.
