Allison is thrilled to be a part of the administrative team and serve as the Director of Student Development. Her primary responsibilities include student contracting, course scheduling, and ensuring that students are on the path to be successful during their time at Fusion.
She was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i and considers the beach to be her second home. After graduating from Pacific University Oregon with a B.A. in English Literature, she decided to devote her time and energy to a career in the field of education. She went on to pursue her Master’s of Education in Teaching degree at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa and was positively influenced by incredible mentor teachers and students during her program. Since then, she has worked as a public high school and middle school English teacher and has also helped students to master critical reading and writing skills in one-to-one settings.
Allison’s hobbies include reading, writing, and hiking. She also loves to travel as often as she can. During her undergraduate career, she studied abroad in Osaka for five months and fully immersed herself in the culture while indulging in many varieties of Japanese cuisine. Most recently, she vacationed with her family in Alaska and went dog sledding and salmon fishing for the first time! She looks forward to exploring new places and visiting with family and friends in Hawai’i.
