Alison is a History and English teacher at our Miracle Mile campus. She recently relocated to Los Angeles from Brooklyn, where she taught in public schools for five years. She supported students with a variety of disabilities and diagnoses, including ADHD, anxiety, and OCD, by providing targeted, individual instruction and support. In addition to academic support, she also built strong relationships with her students, and provided social and emotional support. She cultivated a learning environment that encouraged curiosity, exploration, and high-levels of engagement. Before going into teaching she was an Academic Advisor for graduate students at Adelphi University in New York. She holds a B.A. in History and an M.A. in Adolescent Education, as well as New York and California teaching credentials. Alison has a deep belief that education is the key to a fulfilling life, but also believes that the one-size-fits-all approach to education is not the best method. She is excited Fusion shares these beliefs, and is happy to join the Fusion Family. Outside of school, Alison enjoys decorating her apartment, hiking, and trying new restaurants.
