Marty Procaccio begins his Fusion career as head of school in Palo Alto. Actually, he was introduced to Fusion in 2016 when he was Visiting WASC chairperson for Fusion Walnut Creek. He was so impressed during the four days he spent on campus with his team, that he continued to maintain contact with Fusion. When the opportunity to become a member of Fusion presented itself, he “jumped” at the call.
Marty has been a teacher/coach, counselor, athletic director, department chairperson, Band Director, Vice Principal, Director of Special Education, President/Principal, Assistant Superintendent, and has held various other positions in the educational field. His Masters Degree is in Special Education with completed coursework in School Counseling and Educational Leadership. He attended Santa Clara University and St. Mary’s College. He is a native of Santa Clara and spent most of his life in the Bay Area.
He is married to a teacher; has two children – one is an attorney and one is a musician who works with persons with special needs. They all reside in San Jose.
He loves getting up early (3:00 AM) to go for a run with his golden lab, Bari, and then riding his road bike before the rest of the Valley is awake. In his spare time, he loves to read and listen to Podcasts (Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me and the Moth are his favorites). He is an “avid” Giants fan and enjoys the Niners and the Warriors.
