Abby Garrett is an English and History teacher and mentor at Fusion Academy in Plano. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in Art History from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. In college, she was part of the National History Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta, and a co-founder of her campus’s historical society, Hilltop Historians. In her junior year, she studied abroad in Rome, Italy for five months where she completed an archeological internship with John Cabot University.
Before coming to Fusion, Abby was a tutor at St. Edwards University’s writing center where she helped other students excel in their writing skills. She was also a frequent volunteer at Capital of Texas Food Bank throughout her college career.
In her free time, Abby loves to travel, visit museums, read and spend time with her huge family! When she was abroad, she visited eight different countries and loved experiencing new cultures and people. If she could, she would spend most of her time traveling and become the next Indiana Jones!
