Michael earned his BS in Physics from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan, with the goal of teaching someday. Prior to graduating, he worked jobs in everything from food service to security to classroom technology support. When his wife got a job at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, he embarked on the perilous journey to California.
His interests include learning, programming, gaming, programming games, gaming to learn, and writing games to learn programming. Also, he likes snow.
Michael is glad to have found a school that allows students to explore the curriculum in their own personal way, and looks forward to developing his own oddball style while encouraging his students to develop theirs.
