Meghan Jacquot is very excited to be the Master Teacher at Fusion Alexandria!
She began her educational journey in Illinois as she pursued her various interests in animal sciences, history, teaching, and working with English Language Learners. She earned her bachelor’s degree in secondary education, history, and teaching English Language Learners from the University of Illinois. After teaching for two years she moved westward to sunny California and lived in foggy San Francisco.
She continued teaching for three years at alternative schools and became the English Department Head for a small tech focused charter school. Her curiosity and drive for leadership led her to start her Masters in Educational Leadership at California State University. As she worked on wrapping up this two year program she learned about excellent schools and how they functioned.
This led her to continue her educational journey and look around for other opportunities, which is how she found Fusion Academy. She first joined Fusion Academy San Mateo several years ago and rose from teaching in every department to being the Science Department Head. Having lived in the Midwest and the West Coast Meghan knew that one region awaited her – so she was drawn to live on the East Coast. She’s thrilled to be here and working on the Alexandria Campus as the Master Teacher.
In her free time Meghan loves to learn more about many things, explore national parks with her husband, escape Escape Rooms, solve puzzles, travel to new places, pratiquer son français et have fun !
