Jenni is from Dallas, Texas but considers upstate New York home after having lived there for about 7 years because of the cold weather and the small town feel. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in University Studies with concentrations of Art, Community Studies, and Health and Wellness; and also graduated with honors, Magna Cum Laude, from University of Texas at Arlington. She is currently a graduate student at Angelo State University working on her Master’s of Education in Student Development and Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction in Higher Education. Prior to her joining Fusion Southlake as our American Sign Language Teacher, she taught the language virtually all over the state of Texas; did we forget to mention, she is also Deaf! She is passionate about the language and enjoys exposing the students to the Deaf culture. Jenni loves working for Fusion because she is able to teach creatively, challenge her students in a “no-voice” zone, and has working ideas for an ASL club. In addition to her teaching, she is also a Deaf Interpreter and has had assignments all over Dallas/Ft Worth including the Scarborough Renaissance Faire, Special Olympics, and Texas Deaf and Blind camp. When she is not working, we can find her at a Crossfit box, lifting heavy weights, shopping, people-watching at Starbucks, trying new foods, spending time with her friends and going to baseball games. Jenni is a huge Boston Red Sox and Rangers fan! She recently got married this past October and enjoys going on adventures such as skydiving, rappelling off Reunion Tower, traveling, going to festivals, or bowling with her husband and their 2 little dogs named Dash and Pluvio.
