Chris Brown

English Teacher

Christopher Brown is an English teacher at Fusion Academy. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from Kean University, as well as a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He has worked as a tutor for high school students and business professionals looking to improve their writing skills. He also leads creative writing workshops at the Montclair Public Library. He enjoys drawing with pencil and charcoal and is a fitness enthusiast. He rowed for the crew team at Belleville High School, winning a State Championship with the Lightweight squad. He loves going on long walks at Eagle Rock Reservation in Montclair with his wife Barbara and their Staffordshire terrier mix Laine. Among his friends, he is known for doing funny character voices and impressions, such as Ralph Wiggum from the Simpsons, often quoting his famous line, “Me fail English? That’s unpossible!”
