Cheryl Gilmore

Math and Science Teacher/Mentor

Cheryl is a STEM teacher and mentor.  She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry with double minors in Math and Physics from the University of Arizona.  In 2015, she completed her Master of Education in Leadership Degree with Distinguished Honors from Northern Arizona University.  She is currently a member of Phi Kappa Phi and is an advocate for STEM Education.

Prior to joining Fusion, Cheryl has experience working in the pharmaceutical industry as a Research Chemist and as a small business owner but her most important title is “Mom”.  She realized her passion for education while assisting many of her own children’s teachers.  When her son began struggling in his classes, Cheryl chose a one-to-one option.  This experience sparked the flame and led her back to school for a Master’s Degree in Education.  Cheryl has taught students, ranging from Kindergarten through college level, and strives to take the “scary” out of math and science concepts.  She enjoys developing a love for learning with a goal of personal greatness in her students.

Cheryl relocated from Phoenix, Arizona to Texas in 2015.  She considers her life blessed and sweetened by her husband, of twenty-two years, and their two adult children.  When she is not attending any of her family’s many events, Cheryl can be found playing video games, developing her skills in the textile arts, or contemplating the plot of her first novel.
