Justin Barrett

History Department Head/Mentor

Justin has been working in education since 2007 through multiple outlets, which have allowed him to become a well-rounded educator. He holds a B.A. in Law and American Civilization from Towson University and a M.A. in Teaching from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Justin has held multiple positions in education. He managed a tutoring program in Baltimore City schools, taught social studies at a nationally ranked high school, taught English to adult learners from all over the world, and has coordinated an ESL program site. From 2008-2015, Justin taught high school social studies for Baltimore County Public Schools, where he was ranked a “highly effective” teacher. From 2010-2015 he taught and was promoted to site-coordinator for the English as a second language program at the Community College of Baltimore County. When Justin is not teaching, he enjoys traveling and being active outdoors.
