Kimiko is an English teacher and mentor at Fusion’s San Francisco campus. Born in Brussels, Belgium, then having lived in Tokyo, Paris, Washington State, Maryland, Virginia, and Massachusetts (phew!), she’s now happy to call the Bay Area her home. Kimiko has a BA in English from Mount Holyoke College and an MA in Comparative Literature from UCLA, and speaks three languages. Teaching runs in her family, and it is Kimiko’s passion–she believes there are few joys in life that can top sharing an “Aha!” moment with someone through language, literature, music, or art. When she’s not at Fusion, you’ll find Kimiko watching a Warriors game with her family, cheering on her kids at soccer practice, volunteering as a board member of her local elementary school’s foreign language league, cooking while listening to a good podcast, or…surprise, surprise: reading for pleasure.
