Andrew Marinelli

Math & Science Teacher/Mentor

Andrew is one of the Math & Science Teachers here at Fusion. He graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STIA). After college, Andrew joined the Teach for America corps in the Hawai’i region where he taught high school Science, English, and Special Education for 5 years. In 2017, he moved to San Francisco and worked at a charter middle school teaching science. He was drawn to Fusion’s focus on the individualized attention we are able to give each student. Coming from a traditional classroom, one of the most challenging aspects of teaching is giving each student the attention they deserve.

Outside of the classroom, Andrew likes to cater to the two sides of his personality – the inner nerd and the fitness enthusiast. You can find him in one of the many SF parks reading, trying a new fitness class, doing yoga, or running along the Embarcadero. You can also find him exploring in the Fusion lab, tinkering with some new electronic, or deep in a video game!
