Bethany Funk

English & History Teacher/Mentor

Bethany recently graduated from Grove City College in Pennsylvania with a BA in history and a French minor. During her four years of higher education, she experienced the multi-faceted world of public history in work at her college's Archive, the Historical Society of Frederick County, Old Sturbridge Village living history museum in Massachusetts, and archaeology in Central Italy.

Although she enjoyed presenting one of her papers at a Phi Alpha Theta region history honorary contest, she continued her passion of dance through ballroom and swing opportunities, at one point taking the opportunity to participate in a Latin/Waltz exhibition.

Having returned from Western PA to her home in Maryland, Bethany is excited to rediscover the tastes and sights of the DMV, going on hikes, visiting dancing venues, visiting the numerous art and culture museums, and taking a bite from the delicious fare in D.C. She eagerly anticipates sharing these interests and passions with the Rockville Fusion students.
