Fusion Education Group Welcomes IECA Members to Reunite

(San Diego, October 10, 2022) What began as one school providing personalized learning to students here has now grown to a nationwide network of 80 campuses and a virtual global academy. Fusion Education Group welcomes education consultants to reunite and reconnect at the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) Fall “Connect and Collaborate” Conference this month.

“Educational consultants are compassionate and committed people who support families whose students have unique and exceptional learning needs,” said Regional Director of Outreach and Enrollment Ellie Glade. “We are grateful to call them partners, and we want to take some time at IECA to reconnect and celebrate them for their amazing contributions and advocacy.”

Founded as a tutoring center in San Diego, California in 1989, Fusion Academy’s approach to learning is grounded in its one-to-one model of one teacher to one student, with different teachers for different classes. Fusion’s model of tailoring students’ learning journeys according to their strengths and learning preferences ensures students master their subjects at their own pace.

Fusion will host a reception for IECA Fall Conference attendees on Monday, November 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Sheraton San Diego and Marina. Refreshments and appetizers will be served at the early evening reception. Attendees can register here.

“The IECA theme of connect and collaborate resonated with us,” Glade said. “Fusion’s roots run deep in San Diego. Reuniting here after years of being separated because of the pandemic will be wonderful.”

Fusion works with students in three key areas to help them develop the self-determination they need to be successful adults in society, these areas include self-confidence, self-advocacy, and goal setting. Education consultants, counselors, and administrators partner with Fusion when traditional school settings do not work for students.

Fusion teachers personalize instruction for student strengths, interests, and learning preferences. Schedules are also customized, so students take classes at a time of day that works best for them. Athletes, actors, and students with extracurricular passions can schedule school around their life instead of the other way around. Other students who attend Fusion include gifted or accelerated students, students with mild learning differences, or anyone looking for a more personalized learning environment.
