Kristin Accorsi

English Teacher/Mentor

Kristin Accorsi passes on her love for the written word through her English classes at Fusion. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Eastern University and an M.F.A in Creative Writing from Rosemont University. As a recipient of Eastern University’s Leadership Grant Program Award, Kristin served as the Founder and President of “Reaching Out,” a nursing home visitation volunteer program for undergrad students. In her youth, Kristin served on volunteer mission trips to Belize, Portugal, and the Dominican Republic.

She’s previously worked as an English teacher for at-risk youth at a nonprofit alternative school in Pennsylvania where her studies on restorative practices transformed her educational approach. As a freelance writer and editor, Kristin has worked for a prominent book producer and a holistic health website.

Kristin loves to read and write (obviously), travel, commune with nature, and spend lots of time teaching her 3 year old son how to rhyme. Fun fact: Kristin writes and records vocals for electronic dance songs and one of her songs has been played in rotation on a Sirius XM station!
