Karen Bailey

Karen brings a sense of fun and humor to campus. Karen acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Health Science from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, TX and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from JFK University in Campbell, CA and comes to Fusion with 22 years of hands-on teaching and counseling experience.

Karen is adept in motivating her students to take ownership of their entire learning experience. Like all of the Fusion staff, Karen is dedicated to helping students acknowledge and take pride in their academic, social and emotional growth. It is important to her to develop a genuine relationship with each student and to provide them with authentic, positive feedback. Karen insures that the HC is a place where students feel secure and experience success because they are afforded clear expectations and firm but compassionate boundaries.

Karen comes to us from “deep in the heart” of Texas where she taught P.E., Health Science, and coached team sports for 14 years. She most recently worked at Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton as P.E. Specialist, Health and Wellness Coordinator, and Technology Teacher for students in grades 1-8.

When she is not at Fusion, Karen, or “Coach Bailey”, as she is better known, enjoys being involved in sports, photography, listening to books, and, above all, laughing and having fun with her family.
