Raising Confident, Competent Kids in the Age of Social Media
Despite its links to rising mental health problems among youth, social media is here to stay. This talk aims to empower parents with a greater understanding of our kids’ experience of social media and proactive parenting strategies for fostering the healthy social and emotional development at a time when it’s never been more complex to grow up.
Meg Reuland, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides evidenced-based assessment and treatment for children, teenagers, adults and their families. Dr. Reuland specializes in child and adolescent anxiety, behavior problems and depression. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Yale University, a Master’s degree in Human Development from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a PhD from the University of Virginia. Dr. Reuland applies the latest research to the problems of youth, adults, and their families. She loves collaborating with families and schools to affect meaningful changes for her clients and feels privileged to do this work.
