About our Speaker: Vanita Halliburton serves on the Texas Suicide Prevention Council and the Dallas County Behavioral Health Leadership Team. She was one of four panelists for “Erasing the Stigma: Mental Illness and the Search for Solutions,” a 2013 televised public forum presented by Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, KERA and the Dallas Morning News. In addition, she has received the Special Service Award from the Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians, the Hope Award from Sierra Tucson, and the Inspiring Women of the Southwest award from the Southwest Jewish Congress.
